It does appear that the expansion pack phenomenon is heading for "SimCity 4." Electronic Arts announced early May that an expansion pack for "Simcity 4" would be released fall 2003. The expansion pack titled, "SimCity 4 Rush Hour," will make additions to the transportation aspect of city building.
Key Features of "SimCity 4 Rush Hour"
- New transportation options: one-way streets, ferry systems, and elevated train systems.
- 50 new structures all related to transportation.
- Navigate through the city's streets by taking control of ambulances, cars, and helicopters.
- 3 new historical city sets.
- Name parts of SimCity with street markers and label water, streets, and mountains.
- New disasters: UFOs, thieves, and carjackers.
